ADL's Top 10 Issues Affecting Jews

As we begin to face the challenges of 2007, it is striking that the top 10 issues most affecting the Jewish community in the last year will likely continue to have a profound effect on Jewish life in the next 12 months.

Israel remains threatened by Hamas and Hezbollah. Around the world, we see no abatement in anti-Semitism.

A sense of the continuing challenge came last Friday, when Iran once again expressed its determination to make Holocaust denial a centerpiece of its foreign policy by opposing the U.N. resolution condemning Holocaust denial.

You can count on ADL to continuously fight this and all other forms of anti-Semitism.

The Fight for Jerusalem: Ambassador Gold Speaks Up

Ambassador's Gold's New Book

Dear Friend of Jerusalem,

While the United Nations and State Department are currently considering making Jerusalem the capital of a Palestinian State, radical Muslims systematically destroy the Temple Mount's Christian and Jewish artifacts.

Why? Because these Holocaust-deniers also deny that King Solomon’s Temple ever existed. And to prove their fallacious point, these radical Muslims are literally bulldozing the holy site's history, in an effort to re-write Jerusalem's history, take control of Jerusalem, and once and for all defeat the Christian and Jewish "infidels."

In his important new book, The Fight For Jerusalem, bestselling-author Dore Gold, Israel’s former Ambassador to the United Nations, exposes the Islamic plot to seize control of Jerusalem. Ambassador Gold presents scholarly research in the narrative tradition of Winston Churchill, with breathtaking photographs that authenticate the biblical narrative.

Ambassador Gold’s riveting account is a must read for all who appreciate -- and want to learn more about -- the history of the Holy City and its central role in the current conflict between radical Islam and the West.

We urge you to order The Fight For Jerusalem today.

Sincerely,

Allen Roth and David Goder
One Jerusalem

UN holocaust denial resolution

Dear stephen,

This Friday, the United Nations General Assembly will vote on a resolution condemning the biggest lie of our time. The resolution "condemns without any reservation any denial of the Holocaust."

Today is the day to stand up to the deniers and their sponsors. Sign ADL's statement to the President of the General Assembly, voicing our support for the resolution NOW.

Sixty years after the Holocaust, those who deny the brutal extermination of six million Jews have never been as confident. Their potential impact should not be underestimated.

Why? The Iranian regime - hell-bent on obtaining nuclear weapons and led by a man who calls for Israel to be wiped off the map - is behind them. Tehran was the venue for a holocaust-denial conference in December 2006 attended by some of the world’s most notorious anti-Semites.

The deniers' aim is clear: to spread hatred of Jews. That's why Iran is supporting them.

In memory of those who perished - for the sake of future generations - sign our statement NOW.

When you stand up to Holocaust denial, you stand up to anti-Semitism.

Sincerely,
Anti-Defamation League
